Collecting Personal Information

Personal information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address, and an e-mail address or other contact information, whether at work or at home, date of birth, phone number(s), and credit card information.

 

What information do we collect?

Personal information collected by 1800769 Ontario Inc o/a Skyview Ultralights (referred to as Skyview Ultralights for the rest of this document) includes, but may not be limited to, information such as

• Your name, address, flight experience information, pilot ratings, and any contact information such as phone numbers or e-mail addresses, credit card or other payment information, passport information, and/or any other information that may be legally required by Transport Canada or Industry Canada.  This information is used to conduct regular business with our customers

• Additional personally identifiable information collected can include proof of aircraft ownership, insurance certificates, medical certificates, flight plans or flight logs, and pilot certifications.  

• Demographic and website traffic information

• Pictures and videos associated with flight lessons, flight training, or other related school events

Purpose of Collecting Information

• Communication in the form of newsletters and marketing campaigns, invoices, statements of account, and periodic advice of functions, emails or other communication

• Process payments for services

• Retain documentation for Training, licensing, and renting as may be required by law and/or by company policies

• Posting of pictures and videos on social media for marketing and/or educational purposes

Consent

When you use our services or products as a customer, you are giving Skyview Ultralights consent to obtain your personal information.
 

Third-Party Disclosure

Personal information collected by Skyview Ultralights will not be disclosed to any third-party without the consent of the individual who is identified by this information, unless required for the purpose of operating the business, or otherwise required by law.
 

Limiting Collection

The collection of personal information is limited to that which is necessary for Skyview Ultralights to operate and communicate with its clients.  Skyview Ultralights will not retain personal information longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and in compliance with legal requirements.
 

Deletion of Information

To remove your personal information from our possession, please email info@skyviewultralights.ca.  To be removed from mailing lists, use the un-subscribe link that will be provided in any email campaigns received.  Information required to be kept for legal reasons will not be removed.

 

Privacy policy updates

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
